Decentralised cooperation to achieve the 2030 Agenda Towards a new generation of multi-stakeholder partnerships

The study highlights the growth of new actors in development cooperation, beyond public authorities or non-governmental organizations. In addition, it considers how to coordinate the work of all these actors to create a multi-stakeholder partnership for decentralised cooperation that is more effective, coherent and complementary.

On the other hand, researchers analyze concrete cases of how local and regional governments struggle to lead this new era of development cooperation. The main objective of the study is to reinforce this new framework of alliances for decentralised cooperation, in the context of the 2030 Agenda and of the EU's recognition of the territorial dimension of cooperation.
