I Summit of Mayors URBAN 20

On October 29 – 30 will take place in Buenos Aires (Argentina), the I Summit of Mayors Urban 20. The meeting aims to promote dialogue between major cities and national governments, ahead of the G20 Summit that will take place in this city in November.

U20 is an initiative that emerged in 2017 under the leadership of the Mayor of the City of Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodríguez, and the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo. The project aims to coordinate the positions of the mayors of the main cities of the G20, in a context that is becoming increasingly necessary to incorporate the local perspective to global challenges.

The event, convened by the C40 in collaboration with UCLG, will bring together 27 major cities around the world to address as main issues climate action, the future of employment, the empowerment of women or access to financing.

Participation is open to the general public, but registration is necessary. More information:
