Open Registration Period for the Observatory for Decentralised Cooperation courses
The Observatory for Decentralised Cooperation, integrated by the Barcelona Provincial Council and the municipality of Montevideo, is launching a new online training proposal in order to foster the role of local and regional governments as well as strengthening their capacities to develop local public policies focused on the fields of international action and decentralised cooperation, and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and SDGs.
The online courses will be taught simultaneously in English, French and Spanish, and will be free for all participants, since the costs are borne by the promoting entities so that this training is available to as many local and regional governments (LRGs) as possible from different parts of the world.
Online trainings are:
- “Localizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Tools for Local Transformation”. This new course is promoted and carried out jointly with the world organisation of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG). This training is focused, preferentially, to technical and political decision-makers of local and regional governments, and it is aimed to provide the information and tools necessary for LRGs around the world to address the 2030 Agenda, localising the SDGs and thus achieving a sustainable development in their territories.
The pre-registration period for this course ends on September 17.

- Online course on Decentralised Cooperation (14th edition).
Traditional Observatory course carried out with the collaboration of Platforma. It is a specialisation between international relations and cooperation, closely linked to development and local governance. This training is focused preferentially to technical and political decision-makers of local and regional governments and it is designed to adapt to the new reality in international relations, taking into account the increased weighting of relationships of exchange as compared to assistance, in a world in which the so-called north-south divide is becoming increasingly blurred.
The pre-registration period for this course ends on September 15.
